CNC Buying Catalog: Machine Types and Brands at a Glance

Non-binding first estimate, usually within 24 hours on working days. Direct purchase: payment before pickup. A service by MBR — active since 2020 in 15+ countries.

We’re direct buyers of used CNC machine tools, sourcing internationally from our German headquarters. This CNC purchasing catalog organizes by machine type and by brand the pages where we explain what we’re looking for, what data we assess, and how we close the transaction — with a non-binding initial assessment and payment by bank transfer before pickup (direct purchase).

If you already know what you want to sell, go directly to the relevant guide. If not, that’s fine too: request a free valuation with brand, model, year, and photos; we’ll place the machine in the right category.

We also buy metal saws (band saws, cold circular saws), gear-cutting machines, and CNC tool grinding machines: request a free valuation with brand, model, year, and photos.

Brands A–Z

We actively seek equipment from premium and mid-market manufacturers with real demand on the European market. Every brand we buy links to the right guide — its own brand page where one exists, otherwise the relevant type page, where we name it explicitly:

Your brand isn’t on the list: that’s not a reason to rule you out. We assess based on current market data and segment-specific demand, not just the logo.

How the process works

  1. You choose the type or brand guide that best describes your equipment (or write to us directly).
  2. You send data and photos: form and contact on the homepage.
  3. You receive a non-binding initial assessment; if it works for you, we finalize it in writing and coordinate disassembly and transport.

To understand the full process — sales channels, timelines, and payment — read How it works. To go deeper into pricing, visit CNC machine tool valuation.

Special situations

We also buy in the context of factory clearances, plant closures, insolvency proceedings, or plant relocations. Overview of the guides:

Buying by industry

A machine’s value also depends on which industry it ran in. For the four industries with the most distinctive machine fleets, we’ve published dedicated guides:

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this catalog cover everything you buy?

It covers the machine families and brands for which we publish dedicated guides. If your equipment isn't on the list, write to us anyway: we also buy complete lines, auxiliary equipment, and unusual combinations, as long as they're tradeable on the used-equipment market.

Can I request an offer without knowing exactly which category my machine falls into?

Yes. Send brand, model, year, and photos through the homepage. We'll classify the machine and respond with a non-binding valuation.

Do you buy defective machines or ones without documentation?

It depends on the individual case. Missing manuals usually lower the price but don't rule out a valuation. Defects are assessed based on brand, year, and resale potential: for high-value equipment, a purchase can still make sense; if there's no reasonable sales channel, we'll tell you openly. Send photos and data: initial assessment.

Do you work with brands that aren't listed?

Yes. The brand pages cover the most common inquiries; the catalog by type covers the rest (milling machines, lathes, machining centers, and so on). If your manufacturer doesn't have its own page, we assess it against the same market criteria.
