We buy used injection molding machines from Haitian International and its Zhafir brand: the Mars and Jupiter series and the all-electric Zhafir Venus. We usually buy on our own account and charge no commission on a direct purchase. Send us the machine data and you receive a first estimate. With all information in, the offer follows; on a direct purchase, payment is made by bank transfer before pickup, and we organise dismantling and transport. For the full market, see Sell injection molding machines.

Haitian International and the Zhafir brand

Haitian International is headquartered in Ningbo, China. The trade press often calls it the largest injection molding machine maker in the world by unit numbers, and by its own account it delivered more than 53,000 machines in 2024. We report the ranking as a recurring assessment of the trade press, not as an independently audited figure.

Zhafir is a German brand founded in 2005 and taken over by Haitian International around 2007. Around 2009 and 2010 a Zhafir production plant was built in Ebermannsdorf, Bavaria, supplying the European market. In the literature Zhafir is clearly a brand within the Haitian International group, with publications under the group’s name, not an independent company next to it.

The series: Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn

The group names its series after planets:

  • Mars: Haitian International’s own hydraulic servo-motor mid-range line.
  • Jupiter: the large two-platen series for high clamping forces.
  • Venus: Zhafir’s all-electric series.
  • Saturn: a further series within the group.

We buy all four, regardless of size or age.

Control: Sigmatek on Venus, no confirmed designation on Mars and Jupiter

The Zhafir Venus runs a touchscreen control system based on Sigmatek, a control maker that supplies the series. For the Mars and Jupiter series there is no confirmed, publicly documented model designation for a control of their own. We say that openly instead of inventing a name. A photo of the operator panel helps us place the control fitted to these series.

Why there are no public prices

The German used market for Haitian International and Zhafir machines is real and active, and several dealers specialise in it. Even so, the market is younger and more thinly documented overall than for the established German and Austrian makers, and reliable public price information practically does not exist. We therefore publish no invented range, only the factors that actually decide the value:

Value factorEffect on the price
SeriesMars, Jupiter and Zhafir Venus appeal to different buyer groups
Build yearNewer machines achieve more, regardless of series
ControlSigmatek-based control documented on Venus; to be checked case by case on Mars and Jupiter
Clamping-force classDecides the range of parts served and so the buyer pool

Placing your machine without a public number

With no public price list for this brand, a personal valuation is the more reliable route to a realistic figure than an online search that leads nowhere. Tell us the series, build year, clamping force and, if you know it, the control designation. We place your machine from those details and our ongoing market observation. Our general method is in How we value your machine and What is my injection molding machine worth?.

What we need from you

  • Series (Mars, Jupiter or Venus), build year and clamping force
  • The control designation, if known
  • Whether a robot or automation system is sold with the machine (relevant on Venus)
  • Photos of the nameplate and operator panel
  • Known faults and maintenance history

How the sale works

  1. Send the data. Free and without obligation.
  2. First estimate, from your data and our market knowledge.
  3. Offer usually within 24 to 48 hours on working days once all information is in. An urgent on-site visit takes place, usually within 48 to 72 hours on working days.
  4. Direct purchase: payment before pickup, then dismantling and transport, also for large Jupiter machines with automation. From first contact the process usually takes 7 to 15 working days. See How it works.

Other injection molding machine makers with a thin public price picture that we also buy: Wittmann Battenfeld and Netstal. If you also run machines from Engel or Sumitomo Demag, we can value the whole fleet in one visit; see Plant closure.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is my used Haitian International or Zhafir Venus worth?

There is no public figure. Reliable public price data does not exist for Haitian International or the Zhafir series. The German used market for the brand is real and active but younger and more thinly documented than for the established German and Austrian makers. We value on series, build year, control and clamping-force class. Send us those details and you receive a personal estimate.

What is the difference between Haitian International and Zhafir?

Zhafir is a German brand founded in 2005 and taken over by Haitian International around 2007. Around 2009 and 2010, Haitian International built its own Zhafir plant in Ebermannsdorf, Bavaria, for the European market. In the literature Zhafir is clearly treated as a brand within the Haitian International group, not as an independent company. For us this means a Zhafir machine belongs to the same group as a machine from the Mars or Jupiter series.

Where is Haitian International based?

Haitian International is headquartered in Ningbo, China. For the European market, specifically the electric Zhafir series, the group also runs a plant in Ebermannsdorf, Bavaria, built around 2009 and 2010. This page is about Haitian International the machine maker, not the country of Haiti.

Is Haitian International really the largest injection molding machine maker in the world?

The trade press often describes Haitian International as the largest injection molding machine maker in the world by unit numbers, and by its own account Haitian delivered more than 53,000 machines in 2024. We report this as a recurring assessment of the trade press, not as an independently audited figure. For the valuation of your machine it matters far less than series, build year and condition.

Which Haitian International and Zhafir series do you buy?

The group’s planet-named range: Mars, Haitian International’s own hydraulic servo-motor mid-range line; Jupiter, the large two-platen series; Venus, Zhafir’s all-electric series; and Saturn, a further line within the group. We buy all of them, regardless of size or age.

Which control do these machines have?

The Zhafir Venus series runs a touchscreen control system based on Sigmatek. For the Mars and Jupiter series of Haitian International there is no confirmed, publicly documented model designation for a control of its own, and we say so openly rather than invent a name. For these series, a photo of the operator panel helps most.

Why are there hardly any reliable prices for this brand online?

Because the German used market for Haitian International and Zhafir machines, although real and active, is younger and more thinly documented overall than for the established makers. Concrete, reliable public prices therefore practically do not exist. A personal valuation is a more reliable route to a realistic estimate than an online search.

What affects the value of a used machine of this brand most?

Four factors: the series (Mars, Jupiter or Zhafir Venus), the build year, the control fitted and the clamping-force class. On the all-electric Venus series, it also matters whether automation or a robot system is sold with the machine.

Do you handle dismantling and transport?

Yes, we organise both. On a compact Mars or Venus machine the effort is manageable. On a large Jupiter two-platen machine, hydraulics, temperature-control technology and any attached automation are separated properly, and packing and transport are organised. You do not have to run the logistics yourself. Whether the costs are included is stated upfront in the offer.

How long does the whole sale take?

You receive the first estimate after sending us the machine data, and an offer once we have all information. On a direct purchase: bank transfer before pickup; no machine leaves your site without confirmed payment. From first contact to pickup the process usually takes 7 to 15 working days; for a large Jupiter with attached automation, an on-site visit can add a day or two.

Do you charge a commission or a fee for the valuation?

No. The valuation is free and non-binding. We buy directly, and a direct purchase carries no commission. Sale through our buyer network: commission stated upfront; you are paid before pickup.
