Selling a Fanuc Robodrill: the control maker’s own machine
The Fanuc Robodrill D-Series is a special case in the used machine tool market: Fanuc builds both the machine and the control itself, from a single source. That produces a consistent reliability that buyers in automotive supply, medical technology and electronics manufacturing specifically seek out — no coordination gap between machine builder and control maker, one point of contact for the whole machine. Selling a Robodrill means selling a product with a clearly defined, active buyer pool.
This page covers the D-Series, the compact drilling and milling machining center in its standard configuration. For more on Fanuc’s position as an integrated machine and control builder, see the Fanuc Robodrill brand hub.

What determines your Fanuc Robodrill’s price
- Generation: iA5, iB5 or Plus/ADV Plus — the control and mechanics generation is the first sorting point for every buyer.
- Tool count: from 14 positions (α-D14) or 21 positions (α-D21S) on the compact models up to 28 positions on the ADV Plus models.
- Table load: 200 kg on the compact models, 300 kg on the MiB5/LiB5 variants, up to 400 kg on the ADV Plus models.
- Spindle speed option: the optional 24,000 rpm spindle on ADV Plus models noticeably widens the application range for aluminum and electronics work.
- Spindle hours and maintenance history: on the fast BBT30 taper with a 0.7–0.9 second tool change time, documented maintenance matters most at high cycle counts.

How the sale works
The process follows our Fanuc Robodrill acquisition process: send nameplate, control photo and spindle hour reading, first assessment, offer after review, payment before pickup. We organize disassembly and transport. The Robodrill sits alongside our machining center acquisition program — details on the overall process: How it works. Automated cells with robot integration or the T-Series have their own valuation pages.
