Sell CNC and Hydraulic Press Brakes

Non-binding first estimate, usually within 24 hours on working days. Direct purchase: payment before pickup. A service by MBR — active since 2020 in 15+ countries.

CNC press brakes are the second step after laser cutting: targeted bending turns the cut sheet into a three-dimensional part. In German sheet metal shops, TRUMPF, Bystronic, and Amada are the dominant brands — all with an active, international used market.

We buy used CNC press brakes of all tonnages and manufacturers, wherever they’re located.

Manufacturers and the used market

TRUMPF TruBend

TRUMPF TruBend presses (5000 series hydraulic, 7000 series electric) are used in German sheet metal shops. Strong service network, active parts supply, TASC control well known.

Used market: very liquid, active exports to Eastern Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East.

Bystronic Xpert and ByBend — Swiss precision

Bystronic presses (Xpert 40 to 250 t) are known for precise, real-time angle-measurement correction. That delivers consistently repeatable bend angles even with changing material batches — highly sought after for precision applications.

Amada HFE/HG — Japanese quality

Amada HFE and HG are the best-selling Japanese press brakes in Germany. Solid, durable, broad market. Particularly strong demand in Asia.

LVD, Ermaksan, Durma — economical alternatives

LVD (Synchrobend) from Belgium, Ermaksan from Turkey, and Durma are common in the entry-level segment. Good used market for solid basic CNC presses without a premium price tag.

Pricing (as of October 2026)

We do not quote a price range for TRUMPF TruBend, Bystronic Xpert and Amada HFE/HG: on used-machinery marketplaces press brakes are often listed without a price (as of October 2026), and the few listings with a price cover different years of manufacture, controls and equipment, so no reliable range can be derived from them. Value is determined by the factors below; you receive your initial assessment. The general approach: What is my CNC machine worth?

What determines the price

Tonnage and bend length: Larger presses cost more new and achieve more used — the relationship is roughly linear up to the brand premium.

Angle-measurement probe: Automatic in-process angle measurement (e.g., TRUMPF ACB, Bystronic LAMS) raises the value — because it lets the buyer avoid scrap and reduce setup times.

Control generation: Today’s CNC control systems (TRUMPF TASC 6000, Bystronic ByBend Plus) are significantly more capable than older manual controls — and achieve correspondingly higher prices.

Tooling included: A complete, well-maintained set of punches and dies significantly raises value — a completely missing tool set is a clear deduction.

Hydraulic condition: Clear, clean hydraulic oil without contamination shows good maintenance. Dark oil is a warning sign.

Typical buyers of a press brake

Smaller presses mostly find buyers among metal fabrication shops and contract manufacturers bending standard sheets in modest quantities. Medium and large presses with multiple controlled axes are in demand among sheet metal processors making complex, repeatable parts in series. Older, robust hydraulic presses without a modern control frequently find a buyer through export.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is my TRUMPF TruBend 7050 worth?

We have no reliable public price range for the TRUMPF TruBend 7050 (50 t, 1,530 mm bend length), because press brakes are often listed without a price on used-machinery marketplaces. Decisive factors: condition of the bending tools (upper and lower dies), control version (TASC/TruBend Cell), angle-measurement probe set, and whether a stepped-die system is present.

Which press brakes do you buy?

All common CNC press brakes: TRUMPF (TruBend 5000/7000), Bystronic (Xpert, Hämmerle), Amada (HFE, HG, FBD), Salvagnini (B3/P4 combo), Ermaksan (Speed-Bend), LVD (Synchrobend), Durma, HACO, Beyeler, Guifil. Also simpler electric and hydraulic versions without a complex CNC control.

How much is a Bystronic Xpert 150 worth?

We have no reliable public price range for the Bystronic Xpert 150 (150 t, 3,100 mm), because press brakes are often listed without a price on used-machinery marketplaces. Bystronic presses have a strong used market both in Germany and internationally — the real-time precision angle-measurement correction and adaptive control are highly valued.

What determines the price of a CNC press brake?

In this order: tonnage and bend length (size = price), control generation (current CNC controls vs. older manual controls), condition of the upper and lower dies (wear along bend lines), presence of an angle-measurement probe (automatic angle measurement is very valuable), and whether a stepped-die system for complex profiles is present.

Difference between a hydraulic and an electric press brake on the used market?

Electric servo bending machines (TRUMPF TruBend 7000 series, Amada HF) are more expensive when new and are often valued higher on the used market than comparable hydraulic presses of the same age. Possible reasons: lower operating costs (energy, no hydraulic oil), higher precision (repeatable back-gauge positions), shorter bend cycles.

Do you buy press brakes with damaged tooling?

Yes. Worn or damaged punches and dies are replaceable wear items — expensive, but predictable. A completely missing tool set reduces the price more significantly. We assess the machine and the tooling separately.

What about Salvagnini combo machines (panel bender + shear)?

Salvagnini P4 panel benders and B3 combos are very specialized machines — automated bending without retooling. The buyer pool is smaller, and marketing can take longer. We know the buyers.

Do you also take the bending tools as part of the purchase?

Yes. If a complete tooling system (matching the machine's make and model) is present, we buy it along with the machine. Third-party tooling (e.g., Promecam punches on a Bystronic) is assessed separately. Old, heavily worn tooling: only in manageable quantities.

How long does pickup of a press brake take?

For standard presses up to 150 t: 1–2 days for disassembly and loading, standard heavy-haul transport. For large presses (300 t, more than 4,000 mm bend length): 2–4 days, crane work, and possibly special permits. We coordinate everything.

Do you buy press brakes together with laser cutting machines?

Yes. That's one of the most common combinations: a sheet metal processing line with a laser, a press brake, and possibly a punch. We buy the complete line and make a single overall offer — simpler for you.
