Selling your Hedelius Tiltenta: pendulum machining as a value driver

The Hedelius Tiltenta is the long-bed programme of the builder from Meppen in the Emsland: 4- and 5-axis machining with a swivelling spindle and an integrated NC rotary table, in the 7, 9, 10 and 11 series with bed lengths from 2,000 to 6,200 mm. On the used market it is among the sought-after machines, because it does two jobs on one bed — long one-off parts and pendulum series.

Valuation (as of October 2026)

We have no reliable public price range for the Tiltenta; the bulk of listings appear without a price. We therefore name no figure but show what sets the value: above all bed length, plus build year, control, partition-wall equipment, magazine, spindle hours and condition. We describe the 7 series in detail here: Sell Hedelius Tiltenta 7. The methodology behind our figures: What is my CNC machine worth?

What determines your Hedelius Tiltenta’s price

  • Bed length: 2,000, 2,600, 3,600, 4,600 or 6,200 mm — the X travel is the strongest single price driver of the series.
  • Work-area partition wall: the modular wall turns one long bed into two independent zones and is the argument for pendulum machining.
  • Generation: the Tiltenta 7 started in 2013, NEO is the current generation; the older Tiltenta 8 is now found used only.
  • Control: Heidenhain iTNC 530, TNC 620 or TNC 640 meet the broad market, a Siemens Sinumerik 840D narrows it.
  • Magazine and spindle hours: magazine size decides suitability for lean-manned production, the condition of spindle and rotary table decides the rest.

Fixture construction plus tool and mould making form the core, with general engineering and vehicle building alongside. The calculation is the same everywhere: long frames and fixtures in one set-up, and in quieter weeks the same machine in pendulum operation for series parts. How the sale works

The process follows our Hedelius acquisition process: the nameplate, bed length, control, hour reading and photos are enough for a first assessment. The offer and payment before pickup follow, and we organise dismantling and transport — from bed lengths of 4,600 mm upwards we plan the transport in from the start. Details: How it works. FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is my Hedelius Tiltenta worth today?

We have no reliable public price range for the Tiltenta — most Tiltenta listings are offered as price on request. Bed length, build year, control and partition-wall equipment shift the value considerably.

What bed lengths does the Hedelius Tiltenta come in?

The 7, 9, 10 and 11 series cover the lengths 2,000, 2,600, 3,600, 4,600 and 6,200 mm; the EL variant exists only for the Tiltenta 7 (in all three lengths) and the 9-2600. The Tiltenta 7 came to market in 2013, and NEO is the current generation. The Tiltenta 8 is now available used only, and the Tiltenta 9-2600 also comes in a MILLTURN version.

How valuable is the work-area partition wall when selling?

It is the central value factor. The modular partition wall divides the long bed into two closed, independent zones: machining on one side, set-up on the other. Because it can be fitted and removed in minutes, the same machine covers long one-off parts and pendulum series.

Does a Siemens control narrow the buyer pool?

Yes. Heidenhain dominates on Hedelius machines — the iTNC 530 is the most common control on used machines of build years 2004 to 2014, and from build year 2016 the TNC 640 joins it. A Siemens Sinumerik 840D is a clear minority. That is not an exclusion criterion, but it is a real price factor.
