Selling your Hedelius RotaSwing 80: what current listings show

The RS 80 models are the larger of the two RotaSwing sizes: RS 80 K, RS 80 K-2300, RS 80 S, RS 80 KL Magnum and RS805, built in Meppen in the Emsland roughly between 2004 and 2014; the current Hedelius series with a rotary/swivel table is the Acura. If you are still weighing up sizes, Sell Hedelius RotaSwing covers that ground. Here it is the 80 alone.

Asking prices (October 2026)

Only two RS 80 machines are currently listed with a price on used-machinery marketplaces. Two listings are not enough for a price range, so we show them as individual figures.

Sources: resale.de (listing 168940064, RS805) and Maschinensucher (listing A22859590, RS 80-K-2300 with 61,894 operating hours). A third RotaSwing listing, an RS 60 Magnum-2000 from 2009 at CHF 58,000, is a smaller machine and belongs on the series page, not here. These are asking prices of listed machines, neither achieved sale prices nor purchase prices from us. The methodology behind our figures: What is my CNC machine worth?

What determines your Hedelius RotaSwing 80’s price

  • Build year: one of the most important factors, together with operating hours: the listing for the 2009 RS 80-K-2300 states 61,894 operating hours. How strongly build year and hours each act cannot be derived from two listings.
  • Control: a Heidenhain iTNC 530 meets the broader market in Germany. A Siemens Sinumerik 840D remains sellable but appeals to fewer buyers.
  • Equipment line: K, K-2300, S, KL Magnum and RS805 differ in clamping, loading and travel; the Magnum and KL versions sit above the rest.
  • Rotary/swivel table unit: this separate unit carries the entire 5-axis capability. A documented test run with runout figures is your best selling document.
  • Operating and spindle hours: stated separately, they explain the spread within a single build year better than any other feature.

Typical buyers of a Hedelius RotaSwing 80

Buyers come from fixture construction, tool and mould making, general engineering and vehicle building. For them the RS 80 is the affordable way into 5-axis machining with Hedelius mechanics, in a size that still takes larger parts. Anyone buying newer today finds the Acura series at Hedelius, which includes the Acura 85: Sell Hedelius Acura 85. All series at a glance: Hedelius brand hub.

How the sale works

The process follows our Hedelius acquisition process: the nameplate with the exact model designation, build year, control, hour reading and photos are enough for a first assessment. The offer and payment before pickup follow; we organise disassembly and transport. Details: How it works. For several machines: Sell machining centres.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is my Hedelius RotaSwing 80 worth today?

For the RS 80 models we have only two current asking prices, too few for a reliable range: an RS805 from 2012 with Siemens Sinumerik 840D ShopMill at €85,000 (negotiable, net, on resale.de) and an RS 80-K-2300 from 2009 with Heidenhain iTNC 530 at €53,000 (listed as non-negotiable plus VAT, on Maschinensucher), both as of October 2026. These are asking prices, not sale prices. Where your machine falls is decided by build year, the condition of the spindle and rotary/swivel unit, and the equipment line.

Which RS 80 models do you buy?

RS 80 K, RS 80 K-2300, RS 80 S, RS 80 KL Magnum and RS805. All of them belong to the RotaSwing series built roughly from 2004 to 2014, an older Hedelius series with a rotary/swivel table (the current series is the Acura): combined 3- and 5-axis machining with a fixed table plus a separate rotary/swivel table unit.

Does a Siemens control push up the price of my RS 80?

Not across the board. The pricier of the two current listings is an RS805 from 2012 with Siemens Sinumerik 840D ShopMill; the RS 80-K-2300 from 2009 with Heidenhain iTNC 530 is priced lower, but also differs in model, build year and equipment. In Germany Heidenhain sells more easily, because shop-floor programming is already built around it; a Siemens control narrows the buyer pool. Two listings are not enough to tell which factor weighs how much.

What sets the RS 80 apart from the smaller RS 60?

The 80 models take a larger range of parts and so appeal to different shops. A third current RotaSwing listing, an RS 60 Magnum-2000 from 2009 at CHF 58,000, belongs to the smaller size and is therefore not a comparable figure for your RS 80. It is covered on the series page.
